Job Description:

• The Sonography Supervisor oversees staffing and the daily management of the Ultrasound Department.
• This role ensures compliance with regulatory mandates for quality imaging, control, and assurance, and maintains standards across sonographers, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records. The supervisor also conducts clinical procedures and
• supervises the clinical training provided by ultrasound educators to students and sonographers. In collaboration with the Radiology Manager,
• The supervisor is involved in budget planning,
• long-term strategic planning, and managing the operational budget for the Ultrasound
• Department. As a key member of the management team, the Supervisor supports the
• achievement of departmental objectives.

Responsibilities:

 Include managing the daily operations of the Ultrasound Department within
a Level I trauma center, focusing on both administrative duties and staffing. The position offers a
flexible schedule, with opportunities for occasional remote work to better meet the needs of the
team.
The Ultrasound Department operates 24/7, requiring the Supervisor to maintain flexible hours
that align with departmental needs. The ideal candidate will also be available by phone to
provide off-hours support to staff and the department as necessary.




Education Requirements:

 Candidates must have - Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. Bachelor's degree
preferred. Has current certification in appropriate Radiology specialty (Sonography - ARDMS).
Five years of progressive experience in sonography, including breast ultrasound experience.
Must have participated in inspection and accreditation specific to Sonography (ACR).
